Frankly, Star Wars, I Don’t Give a Droid

Star Wars: The Force Awakens may be number 1 at the box office as of  January 15, 2016, but a 1939 classic still has bragging rights as being the #1 film of all time. Gone with the Wind has over twice the number of ticket sales, and beats the original Star Wars  (A New Hope) film by an estimated 24,000,000 tickets.

Other than the ticket sales, however, it easy to see the influence of Gone with the Wind on other films including, (you guessed it) Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Take a look at these two strong female leads, two silhouettes against a setting sun…or is it suns?
